We are proud to share that one of our biostimulant products has been certified under the Certified Biostimulant Program in recent months, a significant milestone not just for our team here at Brandon Bioscience, but also for our partners and customers in the U.S.
This certification signifies that information to support label claims of a biostimulant product conforms to the United States Biostimulant Industry Guidelines to Support the Safety, Composition and Efficacy of Plant Biostimulant Products. Products that carry the Certified Biostimulant Label are developed and reviewed under a rigorous framework that ensures high standards of testing and transparency. The certification process offers a level of quality control for the entire industry, helping to guide continuous improvement and facilitate regulatory review.
Achieving this certification involved the submission of an extensive dossier of data, including field trials and detailed analysis of composition and safety. Our team dedicated their expertise to ensure the product met all mandatory criteria under the Certified Biostimulant Program, including proper experimental design, use of controls and statistical methods, detailed reporting on trial locations, soils, climate, and cropping systems, a clear label with beneficial substances and concentrations, and comprehensive analysis methods.
The certified product is Algamin® AQO, a pure super concentrated aqueous extract produced from the brown seaweed Ascophyllum nodosum and distributed in the United States through our long-standing partners PB Ohrstrom & Sons. Brandon Bioscience will use the Certified Biostimulant Label to demonstrate the high standard of quality control in our efficacy testing methods, composition, and safety. It also reflects our commitment to due diligence in product development, ensuring our biostimulants are developed with care, integrity, and scientific backing.
We are also proud members of The Fertilizer Institute (TFI), whose leadership and commitment to advancing the regulation and recognition of biostimulants in the U.S. is instrumental. Their support through the Certified Biostimulant Program provides a clear, science-based path for companies like ours to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape and bring validated products to market more efficiently. Participation in this program ensures that Algamin® AQO is regulation-ready for the current California Senate Bill 1522 or any future federal framework.
